STRUCTURAL DESIGNER

Position Overview:

A full-time employee without a California Professional Civil Engineering License. Reporting to the project engineer, Senior Project Engineer, and/or Associate, the Structural Designer will support all parts of the project workflow. The work will be given in a task-based manner. After each task, the structural designer will check in with the manager for work to be reviewed and to discuss the next steps for the project. Structural Designers are expected to coordinate with the necessary team members to meet, ask questions about their work, review completed work, and discuss future work.

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 /year, equivalent full-time salary. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the California Pay Transparency Law. Actual pay rates will be based on various factors, including location, education level, and candidate qualifications.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering and/or Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering

  • Years of Experience: 0 years of experience working with a structural design firm

  • Passed or intending to take the NCEES Fundamentals of Exam (FE)

  • An interest in structural engineering and a desire to grow professionally

  • Experience using a computer with Windows OS and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite. Experience with engineering analysis software, AutoCAD, and/or Revit

  • Competent professional verbal and written communication skills.
